This photo I took near Nylstroom. I only later realized that the reason that the sky is so blue in the picture is because of the blue film on the windscreen...a natural gradient filter 

A beautiful red rose... 

This is a picture I took recently of a honeybee hovering above a Iceberg Rose in our garden. You can clearly see its heavy laden legs. 

The lagune acts as a mirror reflecting the early morning sky. 

This angler were up very early to catch some fish in the Indian Ocean. 

I took this picture of a bluebottle at Banana beach. These creatures have got a nasty sting to them if they touch you in the sea.

Here is another 'mirror' photo I took over the lake at Sedgefield. We were going for a stroll along this lake one weekend on our holiday. 

Sedgefield is on the way from George eastward on the garden route just after Wildeness. It is situated besides a beautiful lake. At times the surface of the lake looks just like a glass surface. I took this photo from the Placid Waters holiday resort's balcony. 

We recently visited the garden route of South Africa. We flew with the domestic airline Kulula.com. The flight was very nice and the cabin crew friendly. We landed at George airport. From there we set off to Sedgefield. This is a photo I took before we landed of the Outeniqua mountains just north of George. 

I took this beautiful silhouette in Beaufort West. Some of the most spectacular sunsets can be seen in this place.
