This is an upright panoramic picture of Crystal Falls near Monk's Cowl in the Drakensberg. (South Africa) Posted by Hello

It been a while since my last post on blogger. But I do try to keep the site relatively fresh. This past Easter weekend we went camping in tents in the Drakensberg Camp of Monk's Cowl near Winterton (close to Ladysmith) in Kwazulu Natal (South Africa). It was a mountain hiking trip. I took A LOT of very impressive pictures of the mountains and streams.

The South African Drakensberg is one of the most beautiful parts of our country. The streams originating from these mountains eventually becomes rivers feeding the biggest dams in our country and provides both Kwazulu Natal and Gauteng with drinking water. The mountain stream water are so crystal clear that you can drink the water anywhere. Above is a picture of one of the Waterfalls in the streams: Crystal Falls (29 degrees 3.433 min South, 29 degrees 23.959 min East WGS-84 Datum).

Here is a beautiful panorama of the view from Monk's Cowl in the Drakensberg. South Africa. Posted by Hello

Nice coloured boats in Kalkbaai harbour near Cape Town Posted by Hello

I took this picture of a rusted chain in Simons Town harbour. I thought the moss cover contrasted nice with the rusted colour of the chain. Posted by Hello
